What They're Saying

Pastor Betty Smith
I am writing to talk to you about a dear friend and also one of the creators and leaders of the worship music at the Coldwater United Methodist Church. For six years I pastored that church and for me, one of the greatest joys was the privilege of working with Greg Brayton. Greg's life and his struggles, his recovery and his faith are all guiding forces in his life and he was always inspiring and challenging me in my own faith walk, just by being himself. Greg is so very talented and has the gift of hearing a word or a phrase and turning it into an inspiring (and sometimes funny) musical piece. Greg's cup is always half full, although he has had many struggles in his life. Greg is "real" and is so willing to share his own struggles to help others in theirs. Greg has a laugh that fills a room and a generosity that just won't quit!
Since leaving that congregation, my soul really misses Greg's music. He has a gift from God and he uses it for God's work. He is a marvelous human being . . .. and a very funny guy! Blessings -

Pastor Cindy Skutar
Greg Brayton has blessed our congregation with his fine music, deep spirit and profound wisdom. Each week, I look out at the faces of people who gather to sing and praise God in our faith community, knowing many gather because they are inspired by Greg's musical leadership. I often find myself during the week singing the songs he has taught us as I go about my day. His spirit, joy and remarkable talent have left a deep imprint on my life and upon the life of our faith community. It is with great joy I recommend his CD "Gratitude" to you. His music will touch your heart!

From Marcia McFee.
As a consultant, worship leader and designer, I am privileged to work with many musicians. I had the great honor of working with Greg Brayton at a recent event and would like to recommend that you give consideration to his work. I found Greg to be not only a talented musician, but a soulful individual seeking to facilitate healing in others through his life and music. More people should know Greg and his music! Peace & passion, Dr. Marcia McFee

From Bill McCan Owner of Dancing Dots.
My wife Mary Ann and I first listened to your "Gratitude" recording together a couple of days before Christmas day. We both enjoyed it a great deal. Mary Ann read me most of the liner notes which are at least as entertaining, informative and inspirational as the music itself which is certainly saying something!
This collection of songs gives us a picture of a part of one man's journey in faith toward the God he loves. It expresses a lively, dynamic faith that's unafraid to sometimes question or even complain but always ready to trust and praise our God. It's all done with reverence, a very high level of musicianship and a subtle sense of good humor. "Gratitude" will inspire, encourage and console many for years to come.

From Pastor Rob Patterson.
Greg and Sally Brayton are members of the United Methodist Church in my hometown, Coldwater, Michigan. Apropos for my connection with Greg is this motto from historical servant-leader John Wesley:
"Do all the good you can, by all means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you ever can." (PDL 259)
